We provide training that focuses on eradicating gendered violence from the workplace.
Gendered violence is any behaviour, action, system or structure that causes physical, sexual, psychological or economic harm to a worker because of their sex, gender, sexual orientation or because they do not adhere to dominant gender stereotypes or socially prescribed gender roles.
This course is aimed at industrial officers, organisers, workers and management. HSR's interested in gendered violence training should enrol in the HSR Refresher OHS Training Course on Work-Related Gendered Violence.
The course covers:
- The Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 in relation to work-related gendered violence
- WorkSafe’s definition of gendered violence
- Examples of work-related gendered violence, including what it looks like for women, men and LGBTIQ people
- Work-related gendered violence as an Occupational Health and Safety hazard
- Reflective piece on work-related gendered violence in your workplace
- How to respond to incidents of gendered violence
