The Trades Hall has been undergoing an enormous renovation over the last six years. We recently completed stage two of our works.
Previously, the building reflected its age and was an awful place for the disability community to attend. Our restoration works have made Trades Hall a much more accessible space for our community.
We have installed DDA lift at the front of the building, and a central lift that provides access to all public function spaces.
DDA compliant bathroom facilities are accessible on every floor near the lifts and in the central toilet block. Some of our event spaces require a circuitous route but all can be reached in a motorised wheelchair.
Baby change facilities are available on floor 2.
The following rooms, in the oldest section of the building, have narrower doorways that may challenge some users.
The Evatt room - door width 1.2m
The Quilt Room - double doors each 0.7m.
