Media training for worker activists

Media training for worker activists

Telling workers' stories is important. Media stories can bring national attention to issues that are important to us as workers - like pay and conditions, workplace safety, industrial reform and social change.

In other words, to make the change we want to see in the world, we need workers who are prepared to stand up in front of the media and speak honestly about their experiences.

ALL workers have a story to tell. It may be about a specific issue like wage theft, workplace harassment, or job insecurity, or it may be more general to your occupation or industry - maybe you're just an average wharfie, but not everyone has ever met an average wharfie!

In this evening, in-person session, we'll cover:

  • What it's like to be interviewed by the media
  • Confident presentation
  • How to articulate a key message

This training is in person at Trades Hall. To attend an online training register here
