Victorian Trades Hall Council thanks outgoing Premier Jacinta Allan MP for her hard work and tireless dedication to the people of Victoria.

From turfing a Minister out of the then-safe Liberal seat of Bendigo East at just 25 years old to outlawing Non-Disclosure Agreements that protected predators in the workplace, Jacinta has shown time and time again that her leadership is defined by her strong values.

Just last week, Victorian workers were pleased to join Jacinta to announce that her Government had listened to workers and acted to fix glaring holes in Victorian workplace laws.

These laws will see the use of AI surveillance, biometric tracking, and biased automated hiring decisions heavily restricted to protect the privacy and safety of workers.

Thanks to her, NDAs can no longer be used to silence victims and protect perpetrators of sexual harassment in the workplace. All workers are safer due to her leadership.

As a proud regional Victorian, Premier Allan also recognised the value of protecting workplace flexibility through enshrining the right to work from home in law.

This will ensure that regional Victorians, parents, carers and countless others across the state can still experience all the financial and social benefits that come from work, while balancing their home and personal lives.

Unionism runs in Jacinta's blood and through generations of her family, and we are proud to have worked with her.
