Are you a young activist who's all about community and solidarity? Do you want to smash the system to make a fairer world for young people? Do you want to meet new comrades and learn organising skills while doing that?
Perfect! Come along to this year's YWC Conference: Young Workers Fighting for Fairness.
Young workers today face an uphill battle; the cost of living, junior wages, increased casualisation and wage theft are all MASSIVE barriers to young people who are just getting started in life!
The current junior wages system means big businesses like Coles, Maccas and Woolies are taking $3.5 billion off young workers, every year! And it doesn't end there! Young workers under 18 don't earn superannuation (unless they work full time) and our young apprentices are still not earning enough to get by! If you want to fix these issues and more, RSVP and come along!
What: YWC Conference: Young Workers Fighting for Fairness with heaps of creative workshops, networking sessions and guest speakers
Who: Anyone! Everyone is welcome!
When: Saturday 21 September, 12.00 pm - 5.00 pm
