We need more unionists in government!

If we want governments that address the needs of real people, we need more real people to win elections - people with experience working on the shop floor, the warehouse, in classrooms, and in hospitals.

The following field actions are being coordinated by We Are Union 'Candidate School' 2024 graduates of who are running for local government elections in October. 

All Candidate School graduates are Trades Hall trained in campaign organising skills, and have signed a 'Solidarity Pledge' agreeing to uphold progressive union values in their campaigns and if elected. 

These candidates are running for a range of political parties or as independents, but they all have one thing in common -- being proud unionists who believe in improving our wages, working conditions, and public services. 

We can't get people like us elected without people-power, so join us on the campaign trail!
