FAQs
Best way to get there? By far the easiest option is public transport! Trams routes 3 / 5 / 12 / 16 / 64 / 67 / 96 will all get you close to the oval
What if I need to drive? With large crowds and road closures, parking will be very limited in the area. If you can't park your car further up a tram line, some surrounding options within walking distance are Luna Park, Acland Court or the Palais Theatre.
What about the heat?! Midsumma have a detailed risk plan for the heat - the start time has been brought forward, and compressed in wait time; plus there will be plenty of water stations, shaded areas to sit in until the march sets off, and the march time should only be 20 minutes once we set off. Organisers have compressed the march time so that everyone is at Catani Gardens by 2pm before the peak temperatures for the day.
