The Young Workers Centre is part of Victorian Trades Hall Council.
Last year Victorian Trades Hall in Melbourne was nominated in the UNESCO World Heritage List for its crucial role in Australia's labour movement.
The Hall was built in the 1870s and is believed to be the oldest continuously operating Workers’ Assembly Hall in the world.
It provides exceptional testimony to the spread of the labour movement around the world from the middle of the nineteenth century. It's foundation was a direct result of the struggle for the eight-hour workday by stonemasons in Melbourne in 1856, one of the world’s first successful eight-hour campaigns in the world.
Round out the year with a night of historical facts and unionism, hear about current campaigns and enjoy a drink with other like-minded young workers.
