For our June solidarity night we will be looking at how young people can make change within their workplaces and stand up for their rights.
Young workers are some of the most vulnerable when it comes to wage theft, workplace bullying and safety. This paired with low union membership numbers amongst those below 30 means that now - more than ever - we need to get together and discuss what we can do to strike back and stand up for our rights.
We will be hearing from workers who have taken action and will be chatting with them about the first steps to improving a workplace.
We will be providing some drinks and snacks and it'll be a great opportunity to meet up with other young worker activists.
Our Solidarity Night will be at Victorian Trades Hall Council on Tuesday 6th of June 6.00-7.30pm.
This is a COVID safe event, please ensure you are fully vaccinated, bring a mask just in case, sanitize and check in. Click here to see our Access Key for the event.
Workers aged 30 and under are encouraged to attend Young Workers Centre events.
