Gerry is the OHS&E Manager at the CFMEU Victorian Branch. He has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years, has a PhD in OHS, a master’s degree in OHS, a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Hazard Management and an Associate Diploma in OHS.  His thesis for his PhD focused on Consultation and Organizational Maturity in the Victorian Construction Industry. He has written numerous articles and has presented many papers (both locally and internationally) on a vast range of OHS issues.  He is also a guest lecturer at Melbourne University, RMIT University and Federation University and is a strong advocate of the right of workers to be directly and actively involved in workplace OHS decision making.
