Calling all young activists! Whether you're brand new to campaigning, or you're a tried and true organiser, the Young Workers Centre invites you to an afternoon of creative strategising.
Young workers today face an uphill battle; the cost of living, junior wages, increased casualisation and wage theft are all MASSIVE barriers to young people who are just getting started in life!
The current junior wages system means big businesses like Coles, Maccas and Woolies are taking $3.5 billion off young workers, every year! And it doesn't end there! Young workers under 18 don't earn superannuation (unless they work full time) and our young apprentices are still not earning enough to get by! If you want to fix these issues and more, RSVP and come along!
Join us on the campaign to end junior wages by coming along to the Activist Planning Session. We will be whipping out the butchers paper and markers and planning some actions to take the campaign forward into the new year. It's a great opportunity to develop your organising skills, as well as an opportunity to gain insight and influence the goals and future strategies for the campaign.
