Join Public Services International for this online event - Fighting for a feminist, decolonised, green social contract: union stories from Asia and Pacific.
The current economic system, driven by patriarchal, neoliberal globalisation, is driving climate change. The need for transformational systemic change for climate justice provides opportunities to re-think the current sexual division of labour, decolonise relationships of care, and promote decent work for women in under-valued fields such as health and social care work and other social service roles
In this event public sector unions from Aotearoa New Zealand, South Korea, Pakistan and Nepal will share examples of women workers advocating for transitions that rapidly decarbonise economies while increasing public services and decent work opportunities required to decrease gender and social inequalities.
