Equal Workplace Advocate Program
To improve gender equality at work, we need to ensure women and gender diverse workers are empowered with knowledge and skills to create change. That's why we're running an Equal Workplace Advocate program for women and gender diverse union members in gender segregated, male dominated industries who want to take action to advance gender equality.
In the Program, you'll:
- Receive three days of paid training on improving gender equality at work (across October, November 2026)
- Learn where our rights come, what's changed recently and how we can use our workplace rights to make workplaces safer, fairer and more inclusive
- Have the opportunity to participate in monthly online Advocate Network meetings to share knowledge, skills and solidarity
- Learn practical skills like public speaking, facilitation and managing resistance to help build confidence
