Lower your energy bills with more efficient and comfortable homes
Victorian workers deserve homes that are comfortable, affordable to run, and better for the planet. We know that sometimes people aren’t sure where to start, which is why the union movement wants to help out. We’re helping workers access government programs (rebates, discounts) that make electrification, solar and energy-efficient upgrades easier and cheaper.
There are practical ways to reduce power bills and improve the comfort of our homes. This campaign is designed to connect workers with trusted information, rebates, and support to take the next steps, whether that’s installing a heat pump, switching to electric appliances, or adding solar.
Electrifying our homes and taking advantage of existing rebates means we can:
- Save money on energy costs
- Cut emissions and grow clean-energy jobs
- Make our living spaces healthier and more comfortable
- Support a fairer, more sustainable future for working people
We want to understand what workers need. Below, you’ll find a short survey asking about your home setup and your interest in upgrades like solar or efficient electric appliances. Your input will shape how we campaign, what resources we build, and how we push for better support for working people and retired unionists.
The more we know, the more we can help you access the right rebates and programs. Your voice drives this campaign, just like every successful campaign out of Trades Hall.
