August 13, 2024 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Bendigo Activist Forum - Renew Australia for All campaign

Join us to discuss how Bendigo can create new jobs, lower our power bills and secure our future with renewable energy.

We are organising this Forum with union members and climate activists to discuss opportunities to build green jobs and benefits for the region and to better prepare our communities for climate change.

This will be a great opportunity to develop a strong organising platform around renewable jobs, development, and climate action in Bendigo and across Victoria.

Renew Australia for All is a national campaign led by Unions, Faith groups and civil society which aims to push the Federal Government to deliver a historic climate “solutions'' package which will help all Australians benefit from ambitious climate action:

  • Repower our homes, transport and communities with renewable energy and efficient appliances to cut energy bills for good.
  • Secure Australian manufacturing and clean industry and create thousands of good jobs making things the world needs.
  • Resource people and communities to better prepare, adapt, and respond to extreme weather.
  • Build the grid we need: with solar, wind and battery projects in the right places that guarantees local benefits.

Tea and coffee will be provided.
