Apprentice Readiness Workshop - National Skills Week

The Young Workers Centre is hosting an exciting event for National Skills Week, and its going to be all about Apprentice Rights and Readiness!

The YWC visit schools, TAFEs and community groups across Victoria to educate their peers about workplace rights and this is one of the workshop we deliver.

In this workshop, we’ll dive into:

✔️ Key issues apprentices face
✔️ How to spot red flags 🚩
✔️ Where to get help if things go wrong 🤝

Whether you're an apprentice or someone who works closely with them, your insights are important to us and we want to hear from you!

💬 This is your chance to share the real challenges you’ve encountered and let us know what topics you'd like covered. Your voice can help shape the impactful discussions we have about apprenticeships.

This workshop is open to all apprentices or anyone who works with them, such as TAFE educators or other industry professionals. It’s a great opportunity to learn about your rights, responsibilities, and entitlements as an apprentice, and make sure your experiences are part of the conversation!

This will be a hybrid event so no worries if you cant make it in person! An online link will be provided to you via email once RSVP'd!

During this workshop, we will present 4 modules that cover a range of topics, including:

🛠️ Apprentice Readiness
⚖️ Your Rights at Work
🏥 Occupational Health and Safety
🚫 Bullying and Discrimination in the Workplace

See you there!
