MARRIAGE EQUALITY RESULTS — LIVE AT THE STATE LIBRARY
9.30am - 11.30am, Wednesday 15 November
Friends and supporters are invited to join the Equality Campaign at a special Marriage Equality Results Announcement to be held outside the State Library, Melbourne, on Wednesday 15 November.
The community event — one of many to be held around the country — will commence at 9.30am, with the survey results live streamed to the crowd from Canberra at 10am.
RESULTS STREET PARTY — LYGON STREET, CARLTON
5.30pm - 11.30am, Wednesday 15 November
Following on from the announcement of the marriage equality survey result, the official Melbourne Results Street Party will be held from 5.30pm on Lygon Street Carlton, between Victoria Street and Queensberry Street outside Victorian Trades Hall. Several thousand activists and supporters of the Yes campaign are expected to attend.
A full evening of entertainment and celebration is planned, featuring special guest speakers, drag performers, and live music from HABITS, Wet Lips, Lubulwa, HEXDEBT, BV, Tanzer, MATKA, Popchops, MinnieTaur, Anna Diction, Zelda Moon, The Ballarat Orchestra + LGBTIQ Choir, plus secret musical guests yet to be announced. The event will be fully licensed and food will be available for purchase from a number of local vendors.
