Join leaders for a feminist debate like no other! As part of a special WRAW Fest Feminism at the Hall event, leaders will debate a question for the ages: Gender Equality - So Near or So Far?
Our teams will debate how far we've come and how far we still have to go towards achieving gender equality. Come along to learn about union women's struggles for equality and rights, what we have won and the work we still have to do.

Speakers:
- Amy Rust: proud Kokatha woman from South Australia and currently the head of Engagement and Communications at the First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria
- Georgie Purcell, MP: Animal Justice Party Member of the Legislative Council for Northern Victoria. She is passionate about animal protection, unionism and ensuring a secure and dignified retirement for working people
- Mich-Elle Myers: first woman elected as a National Assistant Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia, Vice President of the ALP and Executive member of WIMDOI
- Maddy Harradence: experienced emergency care nurse and Assistant Secretary of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (Victorian Branch) since 2019 representing the professional, industrial and health and safety interests of nurses, midwives and personal care workers
- Miki Perkins: senior journalist and writer most recently as a specialist writer on climate change and social affairs at The Age and proud member of MEAA
- Pamela Anderson: Proud Yorta Yorta and GunnaiKurna woman, advocate for gender equality and currently CEO of Emily's List
- Stephanie Rabusa: Campaign coordinator at the Finance Sector Union. She has been a union organiser for 13 years in blue and white collar unions and a community organiser in the Filipino community. Previous host of the Refugee Radio program at 3cr.
