Women's Rights at Work Training

The Women’s Rights at Work one-day training course is designed for people who support, represent, advocate and campaign for women in the workplace.

This practical course gives participants a clear understanding of:

     • The rights and protections available to women workers

     • The legislative options and frameworks you can draw on to support women workers

Why this training matters:

Legislative changes at both the state and federal level have significantly expanded the rights of women workers in recent years. This course consolidates information on the rights and safety of women workers in State and Federal legislation into a practical, accessible format that helps you stay informed and ready to support women at work.

What the course covers:

     • Pregnancy and parental leave rights

     • Flexible work arrangements

     • Work-related gendered violence and sexual harassment

     • Discrimination

     • Insecure and casualised work

     • Positive duty obligations for employers

The course explores how these issues are addressed under the Fair Work Act, State and Federal Human Rights legislation, and the OHS Act 2004.
