WRAW Fest - Unions for Yes key note presentation with Lara Watson

Join union women for a special WRAW Fest keynote presentation as part of Solidarity Saturday - Building a Diverse Movement with Lara Watson, proud Birri Gubba woman from Central West Queensland and Indigenous Officer with the Australian Council of Trade Unions about the Unions for Yes campaign.

This keynote session is part of WRAW Fest - Solidarity Saturday where we'll hear from the diverse women and gender diverse comrades that make up our movement. Upon registering, you will be re-directed to register for Solidarity Saturday. We hope you can join us. 

 

Lara Watson is a Birri Gubba woman from Central West Queensland and the Indigenous officer with the ACTU.  She has been involved with the Trade Union movement for 18 years, starting as a workplace delegate and moving into community campaigning as a Your Rights at Work co-ordinator. She ran the anti-privatisation campaign ‘Not4Sale’ in Queensland and has worked on numerous Indigenous campaigns, including the fight for Muckaty, Queensland Stolen Wages, the NT Intervention & the ‘Wage Justice’ campaign for Community Development Workers in remote communities through the First Nations Workers Alliance.
