Workplace bullying is a serious psychosocial hazard. However, when bullying does occur in the workplace, some employers are quick to default to individualised solutions to the problem or attempt to minimise their liability rather than addressing the broader issues.
But bullying is often a systemic problem with systemic solutions. Problems with work designs can create or exacerbate bullying hazards - and better work designs can effectively address bullying issues within a workplace.
That's why Trades Hall is hosting an online liveshow about workplace bullying for HSRs with Professor Michelle Tuckey, an esteemed expert in addressing workplace bullying through changing work systems. We'll also be joined by our very own Marty Raspin, the brains behind Ask Renata, who will run us through how HSRs can implement action plans to address bullying.
The event will be held on Zoom. You will receive a link to the Zoom meeting once you have RSVP'd to this event below.
As an HSR, addressing psychological hazards can be the trickiest part of the job. By attending, you're helping change Victorian workplaces for the better. We can't wait to see you there.
