We want women in marginal seats to know what's at stake this election.
We've won huge improvements to our rights and safety at work, but we're not done yet. Women in union have recently won new laws that are reducing inequality. We've won:
- Real pay rises recognising the skill and value of work from early childhood education to aged care
- Strengthened rights to flexible work and the right to disconnect
- Ten days of paid family and domestic violence leave for every worker
- Fairer access to shared parental leave and super on parental leave
- Mandatory company reporting on gender pay inequality to empower us to end the pay gap
- Made it every employer's responsibility to address sexual harassment and gender based violence in the workplace.
These new rights have changed the lives of working women. There's more to do and we'll keep fighting. But we know these are all at risk this Federal Election. Peter Dutton will make it his priority to scrap them.
We can’t risk losing our hard-won workplace protections this election.
Join us for our women calling women phone bank in the week of the election so we can have as many rights at work conversations with women in marginal seats across Victoria as we can!
Women’s rights at work are worth fighting for!
