On 21 October, 1969, Zelda d’Aprano chained herself to the Commonwealth building on Spring St, Melbourne, to protest for Equal Pay for women.
But 46 years later, Australian women are still paid nearly 20% less than men.
That’s about $300 a week worse off. And over the last 10 years, inequality has gotten worse, not better. We need to work together if we’re going to achieve Equal Pay.
