solidarityschool

Are you a young unionist passionate about making workplaces better for all? Wondering how you can upskill during the pandemic?

We’re excited to be hosting Solidarity School - an online eight week program designed for unionists under 30 to build their skills.

Running Monday nights from 5.30pm-7pm, Solidarity School will be an interactive online class, giving young delegates, union members and activists a crash course in topics like union history, organising, campaign tactics and strategy. Classes will begin on Monday July 27, and end on Monday September 14.

We’ll be bringing in great organisers and campaigners from across the movement to talk topics like campaigning in a crisis, having organisations conversations and getting your message across in the media. You'll also connect with fellow young activists to practice your skills and reflect on your own work.

All you need is a passion for workplace rights, and the ability to commit to the online classes and some offline reading and reflection with fellow activists each week.

Participants of Solidarity School will be strongly encouraged to apply for Union Summer in 2021. This class is designed for unionists under the age of 30 to build their skills.

So what are you waiting for? Apply now.

Applications are open until 5pm, Sunday July 12.
