Saturday August 11th - Rainbow Labor Pride Chat!
11.00am - 12.00pm at Victoria Trades Hall Council.
Drinks and Snacks provided.
LGBTIQA+ workers all across Victoria are coming together to take part in a Pride Chat!
Workplace discrimination for LGBTIQA+ people is an epidemic in this country. The only way to stop it is if people come together, unionize and collectively fight back.
Pride Chats are happening in pubs, in union offices, in libraries and lounge rooms - and now, Rainbow Labor are hosting a special Pride Chat for their members!
If you're an LGBTIQA+ person who has worked in the past, is currently working, or is looking for work, this is your opportunity to hang out with other LGBTIQA+ people, have a chat about what it's like to be an LGBTIQA+ person at work, what challenges you face and brainstorm about how we can work together to fix them.
There'll be snacks and drinks provided on the night, and it'll be a great opportunity to meet some other Rainbow Labor members and get more involved in the network!
Accessibility: Trades Hall is an old building but we will do all we can to make the event accessible for people with disabilities. Many of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. If given enough notice we will make adjustments as best we can for other access requirements. There are gender neutral toilet facilities at Trades Hall.
