Napthine's Silencing Act

Help stop Premier Napthine from silencing Victorians. Sign the petition here.

The Premier is introducing amendments to the Summary Offences Act to crack down on protests and remove the protection for Victorians' right to peaceful assembly.

Napthine's Silencing Act:

  • Removes protections for peaceful assembly
  • Up to two year imprisonment for persons returning to a banned protest or picket
  • Police and PSO discretion to ‘move on’ protests

We call on the Premier to reconsider the need for these amendments, given the overwhelmingly peaceful nature of Victoria's protest movements.

We Volunteers

The fight is on our doorstep now. The election is coming.

We won’t back away from a fight with Turnbull and his conservative government. We’re ready – are you with us?

It's not easy to knock off a one-term government, but we know what it takes to win: it's you.

The Liberals want to attack the rights we’ve fought so hard to win.  They want Australians to work for less. They want to privatise Medicare and cut funding to schools. They want to increase the GST and destroy our superannuation. They want to take away our penalty rates.

Join the team defending our rights.
