La Trobe China-Australia Free Trade Agreement Debate

The Liberal Government is intent on pushing the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement through the Senate before Christmas. But the China Free Trade Agreement will:

- be bad for local jobs

- be bad for workplace safety

- undercut local rates of pay

- exploit overseas workers

We want guarantees that the agreement won't harm job opportunities in the La Trobe area so to raise awareness we have invited the local MP to debate the issue with Dave Noonan from the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union.

The forum is a great opportunity to hear more about the China Free Trade Agreement and it's also a platform for the Liberal MP to explain how this agreement will impact the La trobe electorate.
