Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisers and activists and We are Union Pride are teaming up to celebrate the accomplishments, intersectionality and diversity of our brothaboys, sistagirls and queer Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  activists during National NAIDOC Week. Together we are pulling up the bean bags, getting some snacks, sharing and listening to first nation stories and hosting a screening of the amazing Black Divaz (tissues for crying will be available).

BLACK DIVAZ goes behind the glitz, glamour and hot glue guns of the inaugural Miss First Nation pageant. Over five steamy days contestants will battle it out in fierce lip synching battles, photo shoots with crocodiles and challenges that will see each contestant stretch more than just their wardrobe choices. What does it take to be crowned the winner? Follow each contestant as they talk candidly about what brought them to this glittering stage - their triumphs and tragedies and what being Miss First Nation means for them and their communities.

Can't wait to see you all there to celebrate the diversity of our movement during NAIDOC Week
